Program Overview


Urban Studies & Planning Program

The Urban Studies & Planning program at San Francisco State University is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of urban systems and the skills to address the complex challenges facing cities.


Declaring a Major or Minor

To declare a major or minor in Urban Studies and Planning, students must follow the steps outlined on the Registrar Office's website. The degree requirements for the major and minor can be found in the Academic Bulletin.

Academic Advising

The Undergraduate Advising Center provides advising services to first-year freshmen, second-year, and undeclared students. Students in their third year through graduation who are declared majors or pre-majors are advised by their college advising team.
