Business Administration Certificate Curriculum
The Business Administration Certificate program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of business principles and practices. Certificate Prerequisite Courses
The following courses are prerequisites for the Business Administration Certificate:
- ACCT 101: Introduction to Managerial Accounting
- DS 110/MATH 110: Calculus with Business Applications
- CLEP Exam may be taken to have DS 110/MATH 110 waived
- ECON 101: Introduction to Microeconomics
- ECON 102: Introduction to Macroeconomics
- ISYS 263: Introduction to Information Systems
- Prerequisite: DS 212 or GE B4 Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning
- Any basic quantitative reasoning class (e.g., college algebra) can meet the GE B4 Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning requirement
- CLEP Exam may be taken to have ISYS 263 waived

Global Business Communication Skills is a topic delivered as two CEU courses, designed to prepare students for a successful job or internship search and the professional skills needed to excel in this internship or job. These classes are not required for the certificate but are strongly encouraged enrichment options for students planning to apply for graduate school, Optional Practical Training (OPT), an internship, or a job.
