Course Details

Course Description

The course "Campus networks and internet architecture" (IIKG3021) is a third-year course, level III, with 7.5 credits. It is taught in Norwegian and takes place in Gj½vik. The course starts in the autumn of 2025 and lasts for one semester.


Course Content

  • Internet architecture
  • Routing in medium and large networks for IPv4 and IPv6
    • Examples include OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, manipulation, and redistribution of route-updates
  • Design and implementation of medium/large campus networks
  • Support services for networks

Evaluation

The course is evaluated through a portfolio consisting of individual reports from group work. The portfolio is evaluated as a whole at the end of the semester and is graded using letter grades. There is no re-sit examination.


Specific Conditions

Admission to a program of study is required, specifically the Digital Infrastructure and Cyber Security (BDIGSEC) program.

Credit Reductions
