Course Description

The course provides an introduction to the theory of complex integration, conformal mappings, and harmonic functions. The course also includes selected advanced topics, such as analytic continuation, analytic number theory, interpolation, and approximation, and applications to fluid mechanics.

Learning Outcome

  1. Knowledge: The student has knowledge of central concepts and ideas from complex analysis, including power series, complex integration, conformal mappings, and harmonic functions. Moreover, the student is familiar with selected advanced topics, such as analytic continuation, analytic number theory, meromorphic functions, interpolation, and approximation, and applications to fluid mechanics.
  2. Skills: The student is able to apply their knowledge of complex analysis to solve problems from mathematics and natural science/technology.
