Program Overview

Course Overview

The course "Computeraided Modelling and Simulation" is offered with the course code MASA2312. It is a third-year course, level III, with 7.5 credits. The course starts in the autumn semester and lasts for one semester. The language of instruction is English and Norwegian, and the course is located in Ĺlesund.

Course Content

The subject is naturally divided into two parts: a modeling part and an analysis part.

  • Modeling:
    • Parametric modeling
    • Flate modeling
    • Compositions (Assemblies)
    • Component car biotech and product families
    • Data format and data exchange
    • Digital value chains
  • Analysis:
    • Problem formulation and modeling technique
    • Element method
    • Element types: Beam, shell, and solid elements
    • Border conditions
    • Load attachment
    • Verification, reporting, and presentation of results
