About the Course
Course Content
The course covers social media, Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), coordination, shared workspaces, support for cooperation among mobile users, design and evaluation of cooperative technologies, and the use of cooperation technologies in different contexts.
Learning Outcome
The course aims to provide students with basic knowledge of social media and CSCW, enabling them to compare and choose different solutions for supporting social interaction and cooperative work, as well as design new technologies. Students will also improve their cooperation skills in computer-mediated situations and understanding of technology mediation.
Learning Methods and Activities
The course combines lectures and project work. Students must complete an individual task (50% of the final evaluation) and a group project (50% of the final evaluation). Both parts must be delivered and passed to pass the course.

Portfolio
The portfolio consists of:
- Individual assignment (50%)
- Group-based project (50%) Both components must be passed to pass the course. In the case of a voluntary re-sit, a fail (F), or valid absence, the entire portfolio must be retaken during a semester when teaching is offered.

IT3402 Design of graphical user interfaces (or contact the teacher).
