Course Description
The course Mathematics 2, with the code TMA4106, is a foundation course at level I. It is no longer taught and is only available for examination.
Course Content
The course covers the following topics:
- Calculus: Functions of real and complex variables.
- Linear algebra: Eigenspaces and diagonalization. Vector spaces and linear maps. Inner product spaces.
- Fourier analysis and systems of differential equations.
Learning Outcome
The student understands concepts, results, and methods from multivariate function theory, Fourier analysis, linear algebra, and differential equations, and is able to use these to formulate and solve problems in mathematics and its applications, if necessary with the additional aid of mathematical software.

Retake of examination may be given as an oral examination. The retake exam is in August.
