The candidate will have knowledge about:

- The use of performance measurement in performance management

The candidate will be able to:
- Define performance indicators and design a system for performance measurement

The candidate will be able to understand the impact and use of performance measurement in organizations and society.
Learning Methods and Activities
The mode of work is individual studies of relevant literature and the production of a paper based on this, preferably linked to the PhD focus of the student.
Further on Evaluation
To pass the course, a score of at least 70 percent is required.
Recommended Previous Knowledge
Basic knowledge corresponding to the Master degree in technology, preferably with a focus on operations management or management in general.
Required Previous Knowledge
All students taking this course must be enrolled in a PhD program at NTNU or a different university.

Examination
The examination arrangement is an assignment, with a weighting of 100/100. The grade is either Passed or Not Passed.
Ordinary Examination
For the ordinary examination in Autumn 2025, the assignment is submitted through the Inspera Assessment exam system, with a submission time of 14:00.
