Course Overview
The course "Risk Management" is offered at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). It is a second-degree level course with 7.5 credits, and the language of instruction is Norwegian.

Course Content
The course covers overall risk management, including the risk management process, leadership of a risk management process, decision making under uncertainty, and decision making under stress. It also elaborates on planning processes and leadership theories presented in the course "Integrated Operations I: Management of Demanding Operations."
Learning Outcome
Upon completing the course, students are expected to have advanced knowledge in the field of risk management and insight into decision-making under uncertainty. They should be able to apply knowledge to new areas in the academic field of risk management, analyze academic issues, and structure and formulate scientific arguments in risk management.
Learning Methods and Activities
The course includes lectures, individual and group exercises. Students are expected to be present for at least 80% of the group exercises.

The exam consists of an individual project report (minimum 10-15 pages) where the student executes and documents a risk management process based on a voluntarily chosen operation. The report is submitted as a pdf-file in NTNU's Learning Management System INSPERA.

Examination
The examination arrangement is a written project report, and the grade is given in letter grades. The re-sit examination is held the following semester.
