Program Overview


Course - Specialization in Political Science: Public Policy and Administration - POL2017

Course Details

The course builds on the foundation provided by POL1002 and gives greater and more detailed attention to central concepts and theories in the field of public policy. The course focuses on the development and implementation of public policy, as well as the consequences and analysis of public policy. The topics covered are exemplified through select policy areas.


Learning Outcome

  • Knowledge: The student shall have knowledge about the formation and implementation of public policy.
  • Skills: The student shall demonstrate the ability to use the central theories and approaches to analyze current issues in the area of public policy and administration.

Learning Methods and Activities

The course consists of 4 hours of lectures per week in the first half of the semester.


Evaluation

Assessment: 3-hour written exam in week 9.
