Overview

The Bachelor's Degree Programme in Social Work is a programme of professional study. Social work is a practical-based profession and an academic subject area that shall promote social changes and development. Principles about social justice, human rights, collective responsibility, and respect for diversity, combined with a multidisciplinary theoretical foundation, lay the foundation for social worker's competence when they assist children, adults, groups, and local communities.

• Supervised professional training Part of the study is compulsory.

Admission

• Language of instruction: Norwegian
• Applicants must meet the Norwegian language requirements or have a Scandinavian language as their mother tongue to apply to any of NTNU's degree programmes taught in Norwegian.
• The application deadline for the programme is April 15th.
• Students apply through Samordna Opptak.
