Program Details
The Master in Petroleum Geoscience and Engineering consists of general natural science, engineering subjects, and computer technology. The program aims to teach students to discover and extract oil and gas resources in the most environmentally and economically efficient manner, secure oil fields, and apply and develop new technology that reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

Replacement of Program
From 2023, the Master in Petroleum Geoscience and Engineering will be replaced with the Master in Georesources and Geotechnology. Petroleum engineers will also be involved in finding solutions to the challenges with greenhouse gas emissions that the world is facing.
