Equality and Diversity - One-Year Programme
About the Programme
The Equality and Diversity - One-Year Programme provides a comprehensive foundation for understanding Norwegian equality and diversity, both in Norwegian and international contexts. This programme consists of four courses with the following focus:
- Theoretical, historical, and thematic introduction to debates on gender, sexuality, and ethnicity
- Norwegian equality politics in a global context
- The significance of new information technology and social media for equality and quality of life
- Gender, ethnicity, and communication at work
The programme is taught in Norwegian, except for the course KULT2208 Gender and Norwegian Culture: Paradoxes of Equality II.
Admission
Admission to the programme requires meeting the Norwegian language requirements or having a Scandinavian language as one's mother tongue. Applicants must also meet the basic requirement for admission and demonstrate English language proficiency. The application deadline for the programme is April 15th, and students apply through Samordna Opptak.

The faculty of Humanities offers a wide range of courses taught in English in various fields of study, both at the bachelor's and master's levels.
