Medical Science (MMS) Program
The Medical Science (MMS) program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in medical sciences. The program includes a range of courses that enable students to develop a deep understanding of the field and apply their knowledge in practical settings.
Course Offerings
- MMS 640: Internship (0-12 credits; maximum 6 credits)
- MMS 677: Independent Studies (0-6 credits; maximum 10 credits)
- MMS 690: General Medical Sciences Capstone (3 credits)
Capstone Course
The Master of Medical Science Capstone is an immersive, project-based course that enables students to apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world setting. The capstone project requires students to consider healthcare as a historical and/or contemporary industry, their role as a professional within contemporary practice/delivery models, and propose changes based on data/evidence that can be made to the future of healthcare.
Prerequisites
To enroll in the Master of Medical Science Capstone course, students must:
- Be accepted into and complete the Master of Medical Science Degree (non-PA program track)
- Complete a minimum of 25 credits in the Master of Medical Science coursework
