Manufacturing Fundamentals Program

The Manufacturing Fundamentals program is a hybrid microcredential designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the high-demand field of manufacturing. This program is Ohio TechCred eligible.

Program Description

Upon completion of the Manufacturing Fundamentals program, students will be adept in mechanical drafting and modeling, material applications and testing, and basic industry fabrication processes.

Program Requirements

To earn the Manufacturing Fundamentals microcredential, students must successfully complete the Manufacturing Fundamentals Pathway with a C- or higher. The pathway includes the following courses:

• ENT 135 Computer-Aided Drafting (3 credits)
• ENT 151 Engineering Materials (3 credits)
• ENT 152 Computer-Aided Manufacturing I (3 credits)

Microcredentials have been shown to have a significant impact on employers, with 88% stating that a microcredential helped a job candidate stand out. Additionally, according to the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report, 6 out of 10 workers will require retraining between now and 2027.
