Entry Requirements

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • For New Zealand Qualifications:
    • University Entrance or equivalent
    • NCEA: Level 3 with merit or equivalent
    • Specific requirements for certain majors, such as high competency in English and another language for Interpreting majors
  • For Qualifications from Another Country:
    • Refer to the entry requirements for international students
  • English Language Requirements:
    • Interpreting and NZ Sign Language - English Interpreting majors: IELTS (Academic) 7.0 overall with 7.0 in Writing and Speaking, and 6.5 in Reading and Listening
    • All other majors: IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher
