Bachelor of Design Te Tohu Paetahi m te Hoahoa
The Bachelor of Design Te Tohu Paetahi m te Hoahoa is a three-year degree that helps students turn their creative ideas into reality in a studio-based environment with excellent facilities. The program responds to the changing nature of design careers by focusing on the connections between different design disciplines, the importance of mtauranga Mori, and new and emergent technologies.

Spatial and Interior Design Major
The Spatial and Interior Design major prepares students for a career designing interiors, furniture, exhibitions, outdoor spaces, retail environments, or art installations. Students learn to visualize space using models, drawings, digital simulations, and hands-on prototypes and work with community and industry partners.
Animation, Visual Effects and Game Design Major
The Animation, Visual Effects and Game Design major offers a lot of flexibility across the fields of animation, visual effects, and game design. Students develop practical skills using industry-standard software and have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including a green screen, motion capture, and virtual reality studios.
Communication Design Major
The Communication Design major focuses on generating content and visually communicating ideas, messages, and meaning to respond to societal, environmental, and commercially relevant themes and issues. Students learn graphic design and digital skills, design thinking, and strategy, and have access to industry-standard software, a printmaking lab, risograph, photographic studio, and book bindery.
