Program Overview


Introduction to the UMDPCS Program

The Unitť Mixte de Dťveloppement Professionnel Continu Santť (UMDPCS) offers a program in medical legal practices, known as CAPACIT… Pratiques mťdico-judiciaires (PMJA). This program is designed to provide a comprehensive education in the field of medical legal practices.


Objectives

The objectives of the program are to provide students with a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of medical legal medicine. The program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the field of medical legal medicine, including toxicology, anatomopathology, biologie molťculaire, and anthropologie mťdico-lťgale.


Organization and Pedagogy

The program consists of 160 hours of instruction, divided into 4 seminars of 20 hours each per year. The program is designed to be completed over a period of 2 years.


Assessment and Evaluation

The program is assessed through a combination of written exams, practical exams, and a final thesis. The assessment methods include:


  • An entrance exam with 2 written tests and an interview with local teaching staff
  • A written exam each year (1 hour each)
  • The completion and defense of a thesis
  • Two practical exams per year (during internships)

  • Sťminaire 6: Mťdecine lťgale clinique et victimologie
  • Sťminaire 7: Les investigations complťmentaires en mťdecine lťgale
  • Sťminaire 8: Criminologie et psychiatrie mťdico-lťgale
