Master of Business Leadership Program
The Master of Business Leadership (MBL) program is designed to provide professional management development at the postgraduate level, with a particular emphasis on the theory and practice of leadership. The program aims to develop the leadership qualities of managers, empowering them to become competent and confident leaders.

The MBL program is geared towards developing the leadership qualities of managers and empowering them to become competent, confident leaders. The program provides access to continue studies towards a Doctor of Business Leadership (DBL) degree, subject to meeting the admission requirements of the DBL.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the MBL program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A Bachelor's Honours Degree or a Postgraduate Diploma, with a minimum of 120 credits, or a 480-credit Bachelor's Degree.
- A recent detailed Curriculum Vitae indicating five years or more of managerial/professional work experience.
- A clear copy of a certified Identity Document or Passport.
- Applicants may be required to write an admissions test as part of the selection process.

The MBL program is structured over two years, with the following modules:

- Business Research (MBL 5912)
Year 2
- Strategic Leadership Project (Research Report) (MBL 5913)
- Electives (choose one):

Completion of Qualification
Students have a maximum of three years to complete the MBL degree curriculum successfully. A student may apply for one additional year of study to the Registrar. After this time, the student will be removed from the SBL system. Upon completion of the program, a student will receive the Master of Business Leadership degree.
Study Schools
Study schools provide students with the opportunity to interact with academics and other students. All study schools are compulsory, and students will be advised in advance about the venue or virtual platforms to be used.
Tuition Fees
The MBL tuition fees include:
- Application fee: R150 (non-refundable and in addition to tuition fees)
- Tuition fees: split into an acceptance deposit and a subsequent payment plan
- Foreign levy: charged for students not residing in South Africa
Payment Structure
The payment structure for the MBL program is as follows:
Year One
- Payable on registration: R94,482
- Payable by 15 March 2026: R37,788
- Payable by 15 May 2026: R18,898

Year Two
- Payable on registration: R47,243

Withdrawal from Program
Subject to Section 12(2) of the Consumer Protection Act, a cancellation fee is payable as follows:
- Withdrawal before the program commencement date: full refund
- Withdrawal after the program commencement date but before 15 May 2026: 50% of tuition fees
- Withdrawal after the program commencement date but before 15 August 2026: 75% of tuition fees
- Withdrawal after 15 August 2026: full liability of tuition fees
Unsettled Accounts
Unsettled accounts are subject to financial blocks or cancellations. Accounts that are cancelled or blocked will not have access to academic results. Failure to settle any outstanding fees may result in financial penalties, including:
- Inability to access statement of results
- Inability to participate in the graduation ceremony
- Inability to be accepted into the next academic year of study
- Handover to a third party for collection of outstanding amounts, with the student liable for legal costs of recovery.
