Purpose Statement

The purpose of the programme is to learn the fundamental principles of financial management, including how to read and interpret financial statements, analyse financial statements, use a financial calculator, assess risk and return, do financial planning, and manage the cash flow of a firm.

  • Content: Goal of financial management, understanding financial statements, analysis of financial statements, financial planning, time value of money, risk and return, valuation of financial assets

PFIN026 - Financing and Investment Decision

  • Content: Capital budgeting techniques, cost of capital, financing, dividend policy

PFIN038 - The Management of Working Capital

  • Content: Inventory management, management of accounts receivable, cash management

PFIN061 - Financial Sustainability Management

  • Content: Types of sustainability, leadership and ethics, business models, risk management, business continuity management, governance, business rescue
