The purpose of the Higher Certificate in Retailing is to equip learners with knowledge and skills to enter into a retailing environment and contribute immediately to store management.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the university is dependent on meeting specific admission requirements for the chosen qualification.

• A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with at least 30% in the language of teaching and learning
• A Senior Certificate (SC) with at least an F symbol on HG or E symbol on SG in the language of teaching and learning
• A National Certificate (Vocational) with at least 40% in the language of teaching and learning in terms of the NSC
• Applicants who would like to apply for admission through recognition of prior learning (RPL) must be at least 30 years old, have completed at least Grade 10, and have at least five years' relevant work experience in the study field

Application for Admission

Apply for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2026 academic year between 3 November and 19 December 2025.

• All applications for admission must be submitted online
• Admission to a qualification is not automatic and will depend on whether you comply with the admission requirements and if space is available
