Diploma in Animal Health

Purpose Statement

Admission Requirements
Admission to the diploma is dependent on meeting the specific admission requirements, which include:
- A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with at least 50% in the language of teaching and learning and with at least 50% in Mathematics, as well as at least 40% in one of the following: Physical Science or Life Sciences or Agricultural Science
- A Senior Certificate (SC) with at least a D symbol on HG or a C symbol on SG in the language of teaching and learning, and a D symbol on HG or a C symbol on SG in Mathematics, as well as an E symbol on HG or a D symbol on SG in one of the following: Physical Science or Biology or Agricultural Science
- A Higher Certificate (HC) in Animal Welfare or a Higher Certificate (HC) in Life & Environmental Sciences with at least 50% in Mathematics at grade 12 or higher
- Applicants who would like to apply for admission through recognition of prior learning (RPL) must be at least 27 years old, have completed at least Grade 10, and have at least five years' relevant work experience in the study field
