Admission Requirements
Admission to the Advanced Diploma in Ornamental and Landscape Horticulture requires a Diploma in Ornamental Horticulture (or equivalent) with an average of 60% or more for 3rd level modules.
- Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements may apply for admission through recognition of prior learning (RPL) provided they are at least 27 years old with a minimum of five years' current, relevant working and research experience.
- Applicants with a final major mark of 50% to 59% or who completed the diploma more than five years previously may be considered by the department by submitting a motivation, CV, and evidence of relevant industry working experience.

Curriculum
The curriculum for the Advanced Diploma in Ornamental and Landscape Horticulture includes modules in arboriculture, production and cultivation of ornamental crops in greenhouses, horticultural production process management, sustainable plant production, plant pest and disease management, growth media management for plant production, management of urban green space and amenities, and conducting horticultural research projects.
