Purpose Statement

• The primary purpose of this qualification is to provide a well-rounded, focused education that equips graduates with knowledge in finance, investments, banking, and financial institutions management.
• The qualification prepares students for promotion in their workplace or professional training, such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
• It also prepares students to advance to a master's degree, requiring them to complete a module on conducting and reporting research in Financial Management.

Registration

• Applicants may only register if they have received an offer of placement from the university and have accepted the offer online.
• Re-registering students may register for the 2026 academic year once the registration period opens.

How to Choose Modules

• Each qualification is structured to require a certain number of NQF level credits within a specific time frame to graduate.
• Co-requisite: Module A is a co-requisite for Module B. Students must register for both modules simultaneously.
• Pre-requisite: If Module A is a pre-requisite for Module B, students must pass Module A before registering for Module B.
• Maximum number of credits: Students may not register for more than 60 credits per semester or 120 credits per academic year.
