Overview

The Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration is a qualification that aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and values to become well-rounded and educated individuals in the field of public administration. Upon completion of this qualification, students will be prepared for further study or the work environment as an employer/manager in an administrative section.


Purpose Statement

The purpose of this qualification is to provide students with a theoretical foundation that will guide them in the work environment to act as a functional level manager or at a higher management level. Students will develop certain values and be able to integrate general administrative knowledge and skills, management functions, and the application of the theory of administration and management to achieve their goals.

Registration

Applicants may only register if they have received an offer of placement from Unisa and have accepted the offer online. Re-registering students may register for the 2026 academic year once the registration period opens.


Module Selection

Students must select their modules carefully, taking into account the maximum number of credits allowed per academic year and semester. The maximum number of credits does not include supplementary and/or aegrotat examinations from a previous semester.

Managing Studies
