Program Details

The Advertising and Sales Promotion program (MNM2606) is a semester module at NQF level 6, worth 12 credits. It is presented in English and online. The pre-requisite for this module is MNM1501 or MNM1502 or MNM1503 or MNM1504 or MNM1505 or MNM1506 or MNM1507 or MNB1501 or MNM1601.


Program Purpose

The purpose of this module is to provide students with an informed understanding of the concepts, principles of integrated marketing communication, and its process in the business environment. This includes the role of advertising and advertising strategy in the marketing environment, major advertising media methods available to marketers, media planning, the principles of sales promotion in the business environment, public relations and publicity in the marketing environment, and the role of sponsorship, direct and digital marketing in the advertising environment.
