• Botanical classification and basic morphology
• Field management and cultivation practices for the major field crops in South Africa Students who complete this module will be able to:
• Interpret, discuss and evaluate important agronomic practices
• Apply modern technologies and concepts for sustainable agriculture
• Enhance crop productivity of cereal, industrial and legume crops with specific reference to the South African environment
