Bachelor in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (BASLP)

Overview

The Bachelor of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) program was launched in 1992 and has since experienced progressive growth. The program is accredited by the Rehabilitative Council of India and graded as Excellent.

Teaching Methodology

  • Audio-visual method supplemented with PPT, videos, etc.

Assessment

  • Semester-based scheme - two sessional exams.
  • Clinical conference presentations and evaluation.
  • Students are evaluated for their clinical practicum and clinical performance.

Career Opportunities

  • Work as Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists in various hospital settings, super specialty clinics, and rehabilitation centers.
  • Students also have opportunities to work as industrial audiologists, audiologists in hearing aid and cochlear implant industries, and opt for serving in private clinics.
  • Students may also work at the level of faculty positions and research scholars in various institutions/universities.

Course Duration

The course duration is three years of academic program plus ten months of internship.
