Certificate Course on Evidence Synthesis

The Centre for Evidence-informed Decision-making, Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, offers various certificate courses in evidence synthesis.

Certificate Course in Evidence Synthesis: Systematic Reviews & Meta-analysis

• The course is conducted in hybrid mode.
• It aims to sensitize participants with systematic review methodology and provides step-by-step guidance on conducting systematic reviews and meta-analysis.
• The course was held from June to September 2025.

Certificate Course on Scoping Review Methodology

• The course is conducted through classroom mode.
• It aims to sensitize participants with scoping review methodology and provides step-by-step guidance on conducting a scoping review.
• The course was conducted in September 2025, February 2025, and August 2024.
• A total of 54, 61, and 48 participants attended the course in September 2025, February 2025, and August 2024, respectively.

Certificate Course in Evidence Synthesis: Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

• The course was conducted online from 7th to 12th November 2022, and from 20th to 25th September 2021.
• The course aimed at sensitizing participants on systematic review methodology and provided step-by-step guidance on how to perform systematic reviews and meta-analysis.
• The course included training and sensitization on the role of automation in evidence synthesis, rapid evidence synthesis, and systematic review evidence in the context of south Asia, with a focus on India.
• A panel discussion on "Evidence to Policy Translation" was also conducted.
• Twenty-eight and fifty-two participants completed the course in 2022 and 2021, respectively.

Certificate Course on Evidence Synthesis

• The course was conducted online from 20th July to 1st August 2020.
• The course aimed at sensitizing participants on systematic review methodology and provided step-by-step guidance on how to perform systematic reviews and meta-analysis.
• Fifty participants completed the course.

Certificate Course on Evidence Synthesis, 2019

• The course was based on the principle of "Learning by doing".
• Every step of a systematic review was elaborately explained, and practical exposure was provided in the form of practice exercises, take-home assignments, group activities, and hands-on training.
• Participants were provided with practical tips on do's and don'ts during the review process.
• Thirty participants completed the course.
