Introduction to the Master of Science & Technology Program

The …cole polytechnique and the ENS Louis-LumiŤre are launching a new Master of Science & Technology program, "Extended Cinematography" (XCin), to train specialists in image design capable of creating tomorrow's tools for virtual production in audiovisual and cinema.

Program Details

• The program is a diploma awarded jointly by the …cole polytechnique and the ENS Louis-LumiŤre.
• It is designed to form specialists in image design who can conceive tools for the production of virtual scenes in real-time on film sets.
• The program is taught exclusively in English.
• The training is provided in alternation, with periods of three months in training and three months in a company.
• Students must work on a creative project of their choice to apply the skills and techniques acquired during the program.

Admission and Enrollment

• The Master of Science & Technology programs at the …cole polytechnique attracted 926 candidates for 324 admissions and 198 enrollments.
• The rate of feminization of the MSc&T programs is 32%, in line with comparable international formations.
• The programs are highly internationalized, with nearly two out of three international students.

Research Areas and Specializations

• The "Extended Cinematography" program is part of the …cole polytechnique's offer of Master of Science & Technology programs, which includes 12 programs, several of which are in partnership with other higher education and research institutions.
• The program is supported by the "La Grande Fabrique de l'image" project, operated by the Caisse des DťpŰts and the CNC, initiated by the government to make France a leader in filming, image production, and training in cinema and audiovisual professions.
