The Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Business will prepare students to meet the evolving business management expectations of contemporary health services. Health is increasingly seen as a business, and registered nurses are moving into middle management roles early in their careers, where they are expected to take leadership roles in multi-disciplinary teams.

Overview

This double degree prepares students to contribute to the success of health services through effective management of staff and financial resources. Graduates can pursue careers in government and private hospitals, management, education, research, health promotion, and a wide range of occupations that require an understanding of business processes.

Professional Experience

Students will undertake clinical placements for nursing only, across various clinical units and hospitals. As part of the course, students will integrate theory with practical workplace experiences through placements.

Professional Recognition

Eligible graduates can apply for registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).
