Bachelor of Biomedical Science

The Bachelor of Biomedical Science is a comprehensive program designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of the biomedical sciences.

Course Structure

The program offers various options for students, including:

• No Major or Minor
• Physiological Pharmacology Major
• Pharmacology Minor

These options are available to students commencing in different years, including 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Course maps provide a visual outline of the sequence of units and electives for each course. These maps are based on the official university handbook and are subject to change.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Students who have already studied at a university at an appropriate level or have significant relevant work experience may be eligible to apply for credit or recognition of prior learning towards their degree.

Minimum Enrolment Numbers

Minimum enrolment numbers apply to all units, and the university reserves the right to cancel units with low enrolment numbers. Students will be advised of cancellations prior to the start of the semester and offered an alternative unit if one is available.

Professional Practice

Students participating in Professional Practice or Community Engagement activities may be required to complete background checks, certifications, immunizations, and registrations as required by federal and state/territory laws prior to commencing their placement, practicum, or field experience.

Academic Calendar

Students must enroll for the whole academic year if they commence in Semester 1 or if they are re-enrolling for the next year. They can change their enrollment up until the census date for each study period. The Academic Calendar provides key dates for the academic year.
