Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Business

The Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Business is a double degree program that combines the disciplines of nursing and business. This program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry and the business skills required to succeed in this field.

The program consists of 350 credit points and can be completed in 4 years full-time or equivalent part-time.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the program, applicants must comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy. International applicants must also meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.


Prerequisites

Applicants must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:


  • New South Wales: Assumed knowledge - Nil
  • Queensland: Assumed knowledge - English (Units 3 & 4, C)
  • Victoria: Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL

Completion Requirements

To qualify for the Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Business degree, students must complete 350 credit points from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:


  1. 210 credit points from Nursing units
  2. 60 credit points from Interdisciplinary Learning Units (Part A)
  3. 90 credit points from Nursing Theory Units (Part B)
  4. 60 credit points from Clinical Nursing Practice Units (Part C)
  5. 120 credit points from Business Specified Units (Part D)
  6. 20 credit points from University Core Curriculum Units (Part E)

Progression Requirements

Students normally complete a unit or units at an introductory level (100-level) in an approved sequence before undertaking advanced level units (200 or 300-level).
