Program Overview
Bachelor of Nursing
The Bachelor of Nursing is a 3-year full-time or equivalent part-time course that requires the completion of 240 credit points. Semester 2 entry is available to domestic and international students on the Blacktown campus in 2024.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:
- English (Units 3 & 4, C) in Queensland
- Units 3 and 4 a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL in Victoria
- No prerequisites are specified for ACT and New South Wales
Completion Requirements
To qualify for the Bachelor of Nursing degree, a student must complete 240 credit points from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 60 credit points from Interdisciplinary Learning Units (Part A)
- 20 credit points from University Core Curriculum Units (Part B)
- 100 credit points from Nursing Theory Units (Part C)
- 60 credit points from Clinical Nursing Practice Units (Part D)
Progression Requirements
Students normally complete a unit or units at an introductory level (100-level) in an approved sequence before undertaking advanced level units (200 or 300-level) in that sequence. Unit prerequisites have been minimized to assist student progression through the program.
