Program Overview


Bachelor of Paramedicine

The Bachelor of Paramedicine is a 3-year full-time or equivalent part-time course that consists of 240 credit points. The course is approved to be offered at the Brisbane and Melbourne locations.


Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:


  • English (Units 3 & 4, C) in Queensland
  • Units 3 and 4 a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in any other English in Victoria

Applicants must also demonstrate English language proficiency either by providing a written declaration that English is their primary language or evidence that they have achieved the minimum English language test results as specified in the Paramedicine Board of Australia registration standards.


Completion Requirements

To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 240 credit points consisting of:


  • 160 credit points from Paramedicine Units
  • 110 credit points from Paramedicine Theory Units (Part A)
  • 50 credit points from Paramedicine Practice Units (Part B)
  • 50 credit points from Interdisciplinary Units (Part C)
  • 20 credit points from University Core Units (Part D)
  • 10 credit points from Paramedicine Community Engagement Unit (Part E)

Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator.
