Bachelor of Paramedicine

Credit Points and Duration

The Bachelor of Paramedicine requires 240 credit points and has a minimum duration of 3 years full-time or equivalent part-time.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must:


  • Comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy
  • Demonstrate English language proficiency
  • Have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:
    • Queensland: English (Units 3 & 4, C)
    • Victoria: Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL

Completion Requirements

To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 240 credit points consisting of:


  1. 160 credit points from Paramedicine Units
  2. 110 credit points from Paramedicine Theory Units (Part A)
  3. 50 credit points from Paramedicine Practice Units (Part B)
  4. 50 credit points from Interdisciplinary Units (Part C)
  5. 20 credit points from University Core Units (Part D)
  6. 10 credit points from Paramedicine Community Engagement Unit (Part E)
