Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies

The Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies is an exit point qualification only. It requires the completion of 80 credit points and can be completed in one year full-time or equivalent part-time.

Admission Requirements

This qualification is only available as an exit point from other Master's programs. Therefore, it does not have direct admission requirements.

Completion Requirements

To exit with the Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies, students must complete 80 credit points from the specified Schedule of Unit Offerings, which varies depending on the Master's program they are enrolled in:

• For Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary) students, complete 80 cp from Part A.
• For Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary)/Graduate Certificate in Religious Education students, complete 80 cp from Part B.
• For Master of Teaching (Primary) students, complete 80 cp from Part C.
• For Master of Teaching (Primary)/Graduate Certificate in Religious Education students, complete 80 cp from Part D.
• For Master of Teaching (Primary) (Leading Learning) students, complete 80 cp from Part E.
• For Master of Teaching (Secondary) students, complete 80 cp from Part F.
• For Master of Teaching (Secondary)/Graduate Certificate in Religious Education students, complete 80 cp from Part G.
• For Master of Teaching (Secondary) (Leading Learning) students, complete 80 cp from Part H.

Progression Requirements

Students must follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator.

• Complete exactly 80 credit points from the units listed for the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary)/Graduate Certificate in Religious Education.
