Program Overview
Bachelor of Accounting and Finance
The Bachelor of Accounting and Finance is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to equip students with a deep understanding of accounting and finance principles, as well as the skills necessary to succeed in these fields.
Credit Points and Duration
- The program consists of 240 credit points.
- The minimum duration for completion is 3 years full-time or equivalent part-time.
Approved Locations
- The program is offered in Brisbane, Melbourne, and North Sydney.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission, applicants must comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy and have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level or equivalent:
- English (Standard) (Band 2) or EAL (Band 3) in New South Wales.
- English (Units 3 & 4, C) in Queensland.
- Units 3 and 4 a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in any other English in Victoria. International applicants must meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
Completion Requirements
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 240 credit points from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 210 credit points from Specified Units (Part A).
- 20 credit points from Core Curriculum Units (Part B).
- 10 credit points from Community Engagement Units (Part C).
Progression Requirements
Students will be advised by the Course Coordinator and bound by decisions of the Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee in all aspects of progress through the course.

Prerequisites and Incompatibles
Prerequisites are units that must be passed before enrolling in another unit. Incompatibles are units similar to another unit; if a student has previously passed an incompatible unit, they cannot enroll in the similar unit.
