The university program, known as the InterPOWER school, is a doctoral program that commenced on July 1, 2019. The new program for the doctoral school started on October 1, 2019, and spans 7 semesters, from the 2019/2020 academic year to the winter semester of the 2022/2023 academic year.
Program Overview
The InterPOWER school is an academic, interdisciplinary program with an international scope, conducted within the framework of the Doctoral School. The program offers studies in 6 selected scientific disciplines:
- Automatyka, elektronika, and elektrotechnika
- Informatyka techniczna and telekomunikacja
- Inynieria biomedyczna
- Inynieria rodowiska, g¾rnictwo, and energetyka
- Inynieria ldowa and transport
- Inynieria materiaowa
Admission Criteria
The recruitment process for the program is competitive and conducted electronically, following the recruitment schedule for studies. The initial stage involves a formal evaluation of the submitted documents and a review of the threshold criteria:
- A grade of at least 4.00 from the second-degree or uniform master's studies
- English language proficiency at a minimum of B2 level (C1 level preferred)
Additional points can be awarded to candidates for documented scientific activities (up to 70 points) and based on the results of a qualifying interview (up to 30 points).
Program Structure
The 7-semester program includes:
- 240 hours (34 ECTS) of basic (specialized) subjects
- 60 hours (7 ECTS) of common subjects taught by foreign lecturers
- 90 hours (4 ECTS) of professional practice for each doctoral student
Doctoral students choose basic subjects within at least 2 disciplines, totaling 240 hours and 34 ECTS.
