Program Overview
Introduction to the Program
The "Lean Manufacturing" postgraduate studies program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement lean production methods in industrial enterprises. The program is organized by the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Industrial Logistics at the Silesian University of Technology.
Program Description
The program aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of lean manufacturing principles, tools, and methods. The curriculum includes topics such as standardized work, lean office, leadership in a lean culture, effective lean teams, problem-solving, value stream mapping, and total productive maintenance. The program also includes workshops and simulations to provide hands-on experience.
Target Audience
The program is addressed to individuals responsible for process improvement in enterprises, as well as graduates of higher education institutions seeking to acquire new professional specialties.
Program Structure
The program lasts two semesters, with classes held on Fridays (after 4 pm) and Saturdays (all day). The program includes 200 hours of instruction, and participants are required to attend classes, earn 30 ECTS points, and complete a diploma thesis.
Admission Criteria
Admission to the program is based on electronic recruitment, and the number of participants is limited to 35. The program is launched with a minimum of 23 participants.
Tuition Fees
The total cost of the program is 5,400 PLN, payable in two installments of 2,700 PLN each.

Certificate
Upon completion of the program, participants receive a certificate of completion and may also obtain a "Lean Manufacturing Specialist" certificate issued by the Zakad Bada i Atestacji "ZETOM".
