Admission Criteria

The admission criteria for the program include:


  • The candidate must possess competencies necessary to continue education at the second-cycle level in this field.
  • The candidate should have knowledge and understanding of:
    • Mathematics and physics used to describe technical processes, transport systems, and processes.
    • Methods and techniques for measuring physical quantities for analysis and solving simple physical problems.
    • Systemic and non-technical aspects (including environmental, economic, and legal) and basic knowledge of economic processes.
    • Basic methods, techniques, and tools used in designing technical objects, including computer-aided design.
    • Principles of creating technical documentation, especially for transport infrastructure and superstructure elements.
    • Current state and latest developmental trends in transport and basic processes occurring in the life cycle of technical objects and systems.
  • The candidate should be able to:
    • Choose and apply appropriate methods, tools, instruments, and workstations to solve simple tasks related to transport.
    • Communicate in a foreign language at the B2 level of the European Language Proficiency Framework.

Verification of Competencies

The verification of competencies is based on:


  1. Diploma and Supplement: Verification of possessed competencies based on the diploma and supplement.
  2. Calculation of the Candidate's Result: The result is calculated as the average of the candidate's grades from their previous studies, multiplied by a coefficient of compliance between the possessed and required competencies.

Calculation of Average Grades

The average of grades from studies is calculated using the formula: Average = ((final grade from courses ラ number of ECTS points)) / ECTS points


Coefficient of Compliance

The coefficient of compliance between possessed and required competencies is as follows:


  • 2.0 for compliance in the range of 90% - 100%
  • 1.75 for compliance in the range of 80% - 89%
  • 1.5 for compliance in the range of 70% - 79%
  • 1.25 for compliance in the range of 60% - 69%
  • 1.0 for compliance in the range of 50% - 59%
  • 0.75 for compliance below 50%
