Program Overview
ERASMUS KA171
General Information
The ERASMUS KA171 program is part of the European Union's Action 1 "Learning Mobility" in Erasmus+, which allows universities to obtain funding for student and staff exchanges with program countries and exchanges with partner countries from other regions of the world.
Requirements
To participate in the program, the following files must be uploaded as obligatory attachments:
- Biometrical photo to be used for student ID card (in JPG file)
- Scanned Transcript of Records (PDF file only)
- Scanned English certificate (PDF file only) After arrival, students must show valid health insurance.
English Certificate Requirements
The English certificate should confirm skills at the following levels:
- BSc students: B1 level or higher (or min. 4.0 IELTS or min. 42 TOEFL recommended)
- MSc students: B2 level or higher (or min. 5.5 IELTS or min. 72 TOEFL recommended) The English certificate must contain the student's full name and surname, information about English level, obtained score from test, score scale, date of received English level, name and surname of issuing person/institution/center/school, position of issuing person/institution/center/school, signature and stamp of person/institution/center/school, and date of issue the certificate.
Steps
- Nomination: An obligatory nomination letter from the partner university must contain the student's full name and surname, gender, valid email address, receiving faculty at the Silesian University of Technology, subject area, and period of stay.
- Information Pack: Nominated students will receive further instructions.
- Recruitment: The recruitment process includes an online part.
Travel Support
The travel support amounts are as follows:
- 10-99 km: 20
- 100-499 km: 180
- 500-1999 km: 275
- 2000-2999 km: 360
- 3000-3999 km: 530
- 4000-7999 km: 820
- 8000 km: 1500
Grant for Incoming Students
The grant amount for incoming students is 800 /month.
Program Details
The program involves cooperation with one or more partner countries and can cover the following types of mobility:
- Students' incoming/outgoing mobilities to complete part of their studies at a foreign partner university
- Incoming/outgoing mobilities of academic teachers to conduct didactic classes for students of a foreign university
- Incoming/outgoing mobilities of university employees for training purposes
The program is implemented by the Silesian University of Technology, and the language of instruction is English.
