Overview

The Dentistry, Full-time Graduate Program at the University of Debrecen is designed to provide students with a high standard of knowledge, skills, and responsibility as dental surgeons. The program is carefully structured to ensure that students gain sufficient motor skills to work with hand and electric instruments, as well as the ability to perform diagnostic procedures and communicate effectively with patients.

Faculty and Qualification

The program is offered by the Faculty of Dentistry, and upon completion, students are awarded the qualification of "Dentist" with a certificate abbreviated as dr. med. dent. (D.M.D.).

Starting Date and Language Requirements

The program starts in September, and English language proficiency is required, assessed at the compulsory entrance examination.

Academic Requirements

To be eligible for the program, students must have a high school certificate and pass an entrance examination in biology and physics/chemistry (written and oral) or successfully complete the Basic Medicine Course at the University of Debrecen.

Duration and Tuition Fee

The program duration is 10 semesters, and the tuition fee is $17,500 per year, including all material costs. Other fees include an application fee of $150 and an entrance procedure fee of $350.

Short Description

The five-year program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in dentistry, including theoretical knowledge and clinical practices. Students must have reliable gross and fine motor skills, a sense of touch and vision, and the ability to operate dental equipment.

Language of Instruction

The language of instruction is English, but students are required to learn some basic Hungarian to communicate with patients.
