ESG Consultant Specialized Training

The University of Debrecen, Faculty of Economics, offers an "ESG Consultant Specialized Training" program.

Program Structure

The specialized training consists of 3 modules, and upon completion of the course requirements, a micro-certification is issued. The training also includes a minimum of one month of professional practice, which is not included in the training period. During this practice, participants complete a one-month professional practice at an economic organization or ESG consultant.

Micro-Certification

The micro-certification obtained from the specialized training is one of the requirements for working as an ESG consultant. The regulation on the requirements for ESG consultant accreditation, 29/2024 (VIII.8.) NGM, sets out additional requirements for working as an ESG consultant, so it is recommended to thoroughly review the legislation.

Curriculum

The curriculum for the ESG Consultant Specialized Training includes the following subjects:

• ESG consulting
• Sustainability and environmental management
• Social responsibility and governance

Admission and Recognition

Those who successfully complete the specialized training can also apply for admission to the ESG - Environmental, Social, and Governance Expert master's program. After a successful admission process, a significant portion of the subjects taken in the specialized training can be recognized.

Degree and Certification

For those who enroll in the ESG - Environmental, Social, and Governance Expert master's program after completing the specialized training, and successfully defend their thesis and pass the final exam, a degree certificate will be issued, certifying them as an ESG expert.

Program Details

• The training starts continuously.
• The fourth group's training is scheduled to start at the end of January 2026, with an application deadline of January 31, 2026.
• The training days are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays.
• The training location is the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Economics, 4032 Debrecen, BˆszˆrmÈnyi ˙t 138.
• The training fee is 200,000 Ft per module (a total of 600,000 Ft).
