Program Objective
The objective of the program is to train nursing and patient care professionals who can independently participate in preventive, therapeutic, care, and rehabilitation work at the level of health and social care, based on their knowledge of individual, family, community, and social health protection and restoration.
Specialization Objective
The dietitian specialization aims to equip graduates with knowledge of healthy nutrition requirements, the harmful effects of incorrect nutrition, methods of prevention, and the nutritional needs of different age groups and conditions. Graduates will understand the etiological factors, morphological and functional characteristics, pathomechanisms, and possibilities of diet therapy for common diseases.
Target Group
The program is recommended for high school graduates or those completing their high school studies in the current year who are interested in diet planning, food service operations, and diet therapy.
Material Conditions
The program is supported by the University of Debrecen's service units, including the University and National Library, IT Service Center, Mental Health Center, Cultural and Conference Center, and student civil organizations. The professional training is assisted by demonstration equipment, practice rooms, and well-equipped teaching kitchens.

The program is taught by the University of Debrecen's and the Faculty of Health Sciences' highly qualified educators, as well as experienced dietitians at practical training locations.
