2016 Supercomputing Youth Camp

Overview

  • Date: August 1-5, 2016, 4 nights and 5 days long (August 1-5, 2016, 4 5 )
  • Location: Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST)
  • Host: Ministry of Science and ICT
  • Organizer: Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI)

  • Target: High school students nationwide
  • Selection size: 24 teams (each team consists of 3 students, with a maximum of 2 teams per school), with 1-2 teachers per school

Eligibility

  • Teams of high school students nationwide who have talent or potential in science and computing
  • Team participation only, with each team consisting of 3 students, and 1-2 teachers per school
  • Up to 2 teams can apply per school

Selection Process

  • Selection method: Document screening
  • Document submission period: March 28, 2016 - April 28, 2016, 18:00, by email
  • Announcement of selected teams: May 12, 2016, 15:00, individual notification and announcement on the website

  • "Personal Information Collection and Use Agreement" requires individual consent, so each student and teacher must submit a separate document

Program Details

The 2016 Supercomputing Youth Camp was a 5-day program held at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) from August 1-5, 2016. The program was hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, organized by UNIST and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), and sponsored by PLSI. The program aimed to provide high school students with hands-on experience in supercomputing and promote their interest in science and computing.
