Practice
The profession of ecologist involves understanding the structure and functioning of natural and technogenic ecosystems and learning how to manage natural resources. Students undergo both academic and professional internships starting from the first year, which allows them to consolidate and deepen theoretical knowledge and gain necessary competences. Training practices take place in many regions of Russia, and industrial internships acquaint students with the activities of ecologists in research, consulting, non-profit organizations, laboratories, government agencies, and industrial enterprises.
