The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Biomedical Sciences has specific qualifications and requirements for applicants. These are outlined below:
Type 1 Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, or be expected to graduate with a bachelor's degree in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, or veterinary medicine, with honors or excellent study results in the top 10% of their class.
- Alternatively, applicants may have research experience and published work as the first author.
- Applicants must be proficient in English, with a minimum score in one of the following English proficiency tests:
- TOEFL (Paper-based): 400
- TOEFL (Internet-based): 32
- TOEFL (ITP): 400
- IELTS (Academic Module): 4.0
- TU-GET (1,000): 400
- CU-TEP (120): 45
- KKU AELT Band 2
- EnglishScore provided by GSKKU: Reading 200, Core skills 200
- In cases where applicants do not meet the criteria outlined in 1.1 or 1.2, admission is at the discretion of the Program Administrative Committee.

- Applicants must hold a master's degree or its equivalent, or be expected to graduate with a master's degree in science or related fields, with a cumulative grade point average (G.P.A.) of not less than 3.5.
- Alternatively, applicants may have published work as the first author.
- Applicants must be proficient in English, with a minimum score in one of the following English proficiency tests:
- TOEFL (Paper-based): 400
- TOEFL (Internet-based): 32
- TOEFL (ITP): 400
- IELTS (Academic Module): 4.0
- TU-GET (1,000): 400
- CU-TEP (120): 45
- KKU AELT Band 2

- In cases where applicants do not meet the criteria outlined in 2.1 or 2.2, admission is at the discretion of the Program Administrative Committee.
Additional Qualifications
- For Type 2.2 applicants:
- Hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, or be expected to graduate with a bachelor's degree in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, or veterinary medicine, with a G.P.A. of not less than 3.00.
- Alternatively, hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, or be expected to graduate with a bachelor's degree in science (such as associated medical science, physical therapy, radiological technology, biological sciences, and medical physics), with a G.P.A. of not less than 3.00.
- For Type 2.1 applicants:
- Hold a master's degree or its equivalent, or be expected to graduate with a master's degree in science or related fields, with a cumulative G.P.A. of not less than 3.25 or having published work.
- Applicants must also meet the English proficiency requirements as outlined above.
- In cases where applicants do not meet the specified criteria, admission is at the discretion of the Program Administrative Committee.
