Master Organic Agriculture and Food Systems Program
The Master Organic Agriculture and Food Systems program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of organic agriculture and food systems. The program can be studied as a single degree or as a European Double Degree program.
Program Structure
The program is offered as a single degree or as a European Double Degree program. Students who choose the single degree option will study entirely at the University of Hohenheim. Those who opt for the Double Degree program will study at the University of Hohenheim for the first year and then transfer to one of five European partner universities for the second year.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold an undergraduate degree in agricultural sciences, nutrition sciences, horticulture, or a related field from a university or college with a minimum three-year course duration.
- Have a degree with a minimum of 180 ECTS credits.
- Provide proof of English language proficiency, with a TOEFL score of 90 (ibt), IELTS academic score of 6.5, or Duolingo score of 125.
- Applicants from China, India, and Vietnam must also provide an APS certificate.

Application Deadlines
The application deadlines are as follows:
- For the winter semester: June 1 for German and EU applicants, March 15 for non-EU applicants.
- For the summer semester: not possible for the first semester, January 15 for higher semesters.
Online Pre-Test
All applicants must evaluate their prior knowledge in the field of organic agriculture through an online pre-test before applying. The results of the pre-test must be uploaded with the application.
Special Aptitude
Applicants whose undergraduate degree is not directly related to the program or whose grade is not above average must provide proof of special aptitude. This can be done through:

- A letter of recommendation from a professor
- Proof of relevant practical experience or further education
English Language Proficiency
