The Conception and Fabrication Additive: Optimisation Topologique et Structure Treillis program is a 4-day course offered by Grenoble INP - UGA. The program focuses on the design and manufacturing of complex products using additive manufacturing techniques.
Presentation
The program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to design and manufacture products using additive manufacturing techniques. The course covers the theory and application of topological optimization, as well as the use of specialized software and equipment.

Program Structure
The program consists of four main sections:
- Conception for Additive Manufacturing (Topological Optimization)
- Introduction to topological optimization
- Introduction to lattice structures
- Presentation of specialized software (Altair suite)
- Application and manipulation of software on a case study
- Application of Conception of a Mechanism (Sauterelle)
- Presentation of the project
- Work on optimization, reconstruction, and validation
- Taking into Account the Manufacturing Process (EBM Powder Bed)
- Presentation of the Magics software
- Application of the software on the sauterelle project
- Supervised manipulation of the technology
- Taking into Account the Manufacturing Process (EBM Powder Bed)
- Depowdering operation
- Finishing operation (sanding and micro-billing)
- Assembly of the sauterelle
- Discussion of the return on experience
- Cost calculation
Admission
- Target Audience: Technicians or engineers who want to develop design for additive manufacturing within their company
- Prerequisites: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and technicians with knowledge and experience in manufacturing, mechanical design, and finite element calculations
- Sanction of the Formation: Certificate of completion and attendance
- Effectif: 4 to 8 people
Tuition Fee
The tuition fee for the program is 3,200 euros.
Research Areas
The program is supported by the G-SCOP laboratory and the Conception Produit Process (CPP) team, which specializes in additive manufacturing and design.
Pedagogical Approach
The program combines theoretical and practical approaches, with a focus on hands-on experience and case studies. The instructors are experts in their field and provide personalized support to participants.
Assessment
Participants' knowledge is assessed through a quiz at the beginning and end of the program.
Certificate
